GEMS was founded by Jim Earley in 2000 and originally ran from his home in Devon on a mobile basis, servicing the farms and homes on Dartmoor and the local area which were off the national grid. The company soon moved to premises on Teignmouth Quay and since then has grown rapidly and expanded to also encompass marine power generation. The workshop has an excellent location with easy access to Dartmoor, Bodmin, and Exeter via the A38/A380/A30.
Due to the construction of the quay and tidal conditions in Teignmouth it is possible for us to dry vessels alongside the quay wall for work under the waterline (transmission, rudders, propellers, etc.) We offer a World wide service and maintain/repair systems overseas. We also carry out regular and emergency repairs to coasters visiting Teignmouth's busy commercial port.
Our years of experience have enabled us to build up an ever increasing portfolio of ongoing customers.
